Coastal Hideaway
Who thinks New England is only in the United States has been mistaken.
Conny lives with her daughter Luise and her son Julius in a modern house that immediately takes you to the east coast of the USA,
although it is only the east coast of Schleswig Holstein.
Here the spirit of "Sea, Sand, Salt, Sun and Sail" is in every corner of the house.
The contemporary interior is a successful mix of New England style and Scandinavian elements.
It was designed by Conny herself and traditionally built by local carpenters.
It was important to her that it lookes as if it has been here for many years.
The nested floor plan gives the impression that the extensions have been made over many years as Conny didn´t want it to look brandnew.
Not only the facade was covered with wood, the whole construction consists of this natural material.
The many large lattice windows, the bright furnishings and the high-quality wooden floors create a light, coastal atmosphere.
Throughout the house and on the veranda there are many different seating arrangements, where the family likes to meet friends who love this cosy atmosphere.
