Hello Coastal Life
Tanja, Frank and their 5 children spent their holidays for years in their beloved and self-restored vintage caravan on the North Sea coast in Eastern Frisia.
At some point, the family decided to move to this beautiful area permanently and to look for a suitable house.
4 of the children had now left home or were planning to do so, so the house just had to offer enough space for Tanja, Frank and their daughter Helene.
Despite a long search, they didn't find anything suitable at first, but then chance came to their aid.
In 2023, the parents of a friend wanted to sell their house and it was exactly what they had been looking for all along, so after the purchase,
they immediately set about renovating the old house.
Frank was responsible for the craftsmanship, Tanja for the design and furnishings, taking inspiration from the colours and materials of the nearby beaches
and using them in the renovation.
Their old caravan has now found a place of honour in the garden and serves as a guest room for the children who have flown out to visit.
This caravan also inspired Tanja to become a children's book author and illustrator.
In her stories, she tells of the adventures of the old caravan, known as the "Bürstner Granny".
