The Rectory´s Delight
A former rectory was brought back to life by a complete renovation of the two Photographers Fria and Volker.
This tall house now exposed to light, having inside a modern rustic airy feeling, is in a beautiful position overlooking the river Elbe, in the biophere reserve, called „Flusslandschaft Elbe.
They have lovingly designed the listed building.
Rich in detail and as faithful to the original as possible.
Always attached was the importance to a simple aesthetic understanding.
In the course of the restoration work all historical elements such as doors, locks, windows and fittings, floorboards, stairs and shutters were kept and- where necessary - historically appropriate complements were added.

As far as possible traditional handicraft techniques and the corresponding building materials such as clay and lime plasters, solid wood were used wisely which ensures a very good indoor climate.
The parsonage is designed for discerning holiday guests.
All in all, both have carefully designed a holiday sanctuary for those who have a sense for the elevated simplicity, who love peace, tranquility and have the urge to enjoy nature.
Fria and Volker now live directly at the dyke, with her daughter Jette and Dog Ella.
