Cosy Christmas in the Mountains
Another young couple from Germany was drawn from the citylife into the vastness of the  mountains.
Malte and Loana felt attracted to the wide open spaces of the „Harz“ region. Winter sports, long walks into the snowy mountains are simply garanteed.
As it had a laidback and an oldfashion mood, they thought all it needed for a change, was just a bit of contemporary interior to freshen up the lifestyle.
They soon bought a lovely old house from an artist, which was smoothly transferred into their idea of a modern home.
This was the moment of revitalization and rejuvenation the mountainous region in the Harz Mountains.
Important to both of them was the topic: sustainability and the use of natural materials. The new beginning is made in this house that is more reminiscent of Sweden.
Now, they have lived here for several years with their two dogs and celebrate each year a Christmas like out of a picture book.
The family will join the large table and sing around the real Christmastree with candlelight.
Convienent was that with the house came a small, private wooden hut inside the forest with its nearby ponds, which were once necessary for the silvermines.
Here they can even go iceskating and later warm up by the open fire with a mulled wine.
Over the years, they converted several other old guestshouses.
