Cosy Country Christmas
When Markus and Carsten receive visits from friends for Christmas, they transform their historic guesthouse on the Pomeranian Baltic coast into a cosy and festive retreat.
It really comes into its own at this time of year, with fires burning in the fireplace and tiled stoves and candles creating a warm atmosphere in these cosy rooms.
All one has to do is to enjoy!
If it is the decorating, wrapping gifts, cooking next to the Xmastree or just drink, eat, sleeping in, watch old movie or go for long walks with one’s dog.
Anything is just inviting.
The friends have renovated the house from 1757 a few years ago, doing much of the work themselves.
They paid particular attention to preserving the original charm of the historic Pomeranian building from 1757 and placed great emphasis on ecological materials such as
clay, wood and natural colours.
The couple live nearby and usually they rent out the house to holiday guests who want to experience the simplicity of life and living in times gone by without giving up
modern comforts.
