Shabby Cottage
Featuring:
Christine, former owner of an advertising agency, gave up her hectic city-life in Hamburg for a new career in the countryside.
Now she refurbishes and rents out old cottages for holiday getaways in Northern germany.
This is her private Cottage.

The house:
Thatched cottage from 1860, in the area of Schwansen, near the Schlei-Fjord in Northern Germany, with a 800sqm garden and a greenhouse,
which is surrounded by fields and meadows.

The Style:
Shabby style with dark, antique and modern elements. Paintings, furniture and other finds from flew markets and auctions, mostly from Denmark or Northern Germany.
Coming from an artistic family, Christine has refurbished and painted most of the furniture by herself.
Light tones are combined with black and grey. Rustic floors in natural colors are made of wood or stone.
This Style has Christines handwriting for more than 25 years, so she was one of the first to invent this style.
