Ivonne, the chairwoman of a local riding club, lived in England for a long time and loves all things British.
It was during this time that she met and later married Daniel, a galvaniser from Manchester.
Although they loved England, the couple was drawn back to Germany and so they searched for a suitable home.
They found an historic house in the medieval town of Warburg, which they renovated with a lot of personal effort.
Ivonne usually came up with the ideas, which were then implemented by Daniel.
The house was furnished in a very sustainable way with antique and vintage furniture that the couple brought back from England or found at flea markets and antique dealers.
This unique interior immediately gives you the feeling of being in a British house.
Since 2017 they have been living in this 1910 villa, with their son, two dogs, a cat and four rescued sheep.
At Christmas time, the place is really cosy, with lots of pine branches, countless candles and a huge Christmas tree in the stairwell as the centrepiece.
Ivonne loves to cook, bake and decorate for Christmas. It couldn't be more British at Christmas time, almost like a manor house.
